Lead Anticancer Agents of Crinine Alkaloids: Cytotoxic, Caspase-3, and Anti-angiogenic Exploration

نویسندگان

چکیده

Several alkaloids with anticancer activities have been reported among the Crinum species. In this study, an in silico screening of crinine was carried out to identify potential Caspase-3 activators and anti-angiogenic compounds. Thirty-one (31) were assessed for drug-likeness using SwissADME online Web server. Nine (9) alkaloids, satisfying Lipinski’s rules selected screened cytotoxic properties against cancer normal cell lines Cell Line Cytotoxity Predictor (CLC-Pred). The possessing drug-like showing good selectivity towards evaluated activating by docking VEGFR2 proteins, respectively. binding energy compounds compared those standard drugs. Powelline, augustine, undulatine possess demonstrated lung (A549) oligodendroglioma (Hs683) lines. Among these three compounds, powelline had best as a stimulant agent. are lead agents human oligodendroglioma.

Alkaloids as anticancer agents

Alkaloids are a class of naturally occurring organic nitrogen containing bases. Typical alkaloids are derived from plant sources, they are basic, they contain one or more nitrogen atoms (usually in a heterocyclic ring) and they usually have a marked physiological action on man or other animals. Alkaloids have potent anticancer activity against various cancers. In this review mainly discussed ab...

7. Marine natural alkaloids as anticancer agents

Alkaloids are naturally occurring nitrogen containing biologically active heterocyclic compounds. Over the last few years, a large number of biologically important alkaloids with antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antimalarial, antioxidant and anticancer activities have been isolated from marine source. Present article summarizes the isolation and anticancer activity evaluation of nat...

Nanoparticle-mediated delivery of anticancer agents to tumor angiogenic vessels.

Nanoparticle-mediated drug delivery systems targeting tumor angiogenic vessels have been studied for antineovascular cancer therapy achieved by induction of apoptosis of angiogenic endothelial cells. Nanoparticles such as liposomes are considered to accumulate in tumors due to the enhanced permeability and retention effect. The delivery efficiency of this system appears to be affected by the de...
